Full Description:
Folds flat, lifts easily, flies with you
The Rascal C60 Carbon is a compact folding powerchair weighing 18kg with its battery fitted, folding flat to just 30cm high for the car boot. Its airline-compliant lithium battery gives a range of up to 9.4 miles. Try it at one of our 15 North West showrooms.
A Powerchair You Can Take Anywhere
If you have found that a standard powerchair is too heavy or awkward to get in the car, the C60 Carbon is designed to solve that problem. The carbon fibre frame folds down in seconds to 74cm long, 64cm wide and 30cm high, so it fits in most car boots without removing the seat or wheels. The heaviest section weighs 14.3kg and the battery pack lifts out separately at just 2.7kg, which makes loading far more manageable for you or the person helping you.
Built for Holidays and Overseas Travel
The 10Ah Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery meets IATA UN38.3 requirements for passenger aircraft, so the C60 Carbon can travel with you by plane. Airlines set their own rules for mobility equipment, so we always suggest confirming with your carrier before you book. If you are unsure how to do that, our team is happy to talk you through it.
The battery is also covered by the Rascal LiFetime Battery Guarantee. LiFePO4 batteries are among the safest lithium types used in mobility products and are built to last, which means fewer worries about replacements down the line.
Comfort for Everyday Journeys
Lightweight does not have to mean uncomfortable. The C60 Carbon has all-round suspension to soften bumps and uneven pavements, a supportive high-back seat, and a Memory Foam cushion for longer trips. The armrests fold up to make it easier to get in and out from the side, particularly helpful if you transfer from a bed or a car seat.
A quiet brushless motor delivers smooth, steady acceleration, and the joystick control needs only a light touch. With a turning width of 1.2 metres, it copes well with hallways, shop aisles and lifts.
Safety built in: Anti-roll wheels help keep the chair steady, and the intelligent braking system brings you to a stop within 1.2 metres at full speed. The C60 Carbon is a Class 2 powerchair, which means it is designed for pavements and indoor use at up to 4mph.
Optional Bluetooth remote: A carer or family member can guide the chair from a short distance, useful when it is empty and needs moving to the car or through a doorway.
Is the C60 Carbon Right for You?
This powerchair suits people who want to keep travelling, whether that is trips to the shops, visiting family or holidays abroad, and who need something that packs away easily. It carries up to 120kg (18.9 stone), has a seat width of 41cm and a floor-to-seat height of 50cm. Range is up to 9.4 miles for a 100kg user and 8.1 miles at the maximum weight, on flat ground with a full charge.
If you are looking for a powerchair for rough terrain, steep hills or long-distance outdoor use, a different model may serve you better. Please ask us, and we will give you an honest recommendation.
