8 Tips for Getting In and Out of the Bath Faster

Getting in and out of the bath can be difficult for many people, and it can even be dangerous at times. But there are a few ways you can make it an easier and faster process. In this post, we will discuss different pieces of equipment that you can use for the bath and the proper method to lift yourself out of the bath. We hope this helps!

1. Proper and Safe Method

There is a huge range of equipment available to help you get in and out of the bath faster, but it is important to look at the safest method of doing so without equipment.

  1. Stay in a seated position, hold onto the edge of your bathtub, and then slowly pull yourself onto your side.
  2. From this position, turn yourself onto your hands and knees, so that you are looking at the bottom of your bath.
  3. After that, push yourself onto your knees whilst your arms are holding onto both sides of the bath. You will now be on your knees.
  4. Now place both hands on the side of the bath that you will be exiting it from. Then lift your knees from the bath floor. Now you should be on your feet.
  5. Keep your hands placed on the side of the bath, and bring one leg over the side and place it on your bath mat.
  6. Next, you can bring your other leg over the side of the bath.
  7. Now you should be standing on both feet and your whole body should be out of the bath.

This method is the proper and safest way to exit your bath. Additionally, it is important to always have a bath mat ready to stand on for when you are exiting the bath. Bath mats help you gain balance and prevent you from slipping on the bathroom floor.
