Alison Meadows is a Registered Nurse, qualified teacher to higher education level and Rospa trained level 4 Moving and Handling practitioner.
Alison also has a specialist qualification in Orthopaedic and Spinal Injuries Nursing and has worked in Orthopeadic and Spinal Units in England and Australia.

3 day Safer Moving and Handling Instructors course (Train the Trainer )
By completing this Instructors/ Train the trainer course in the safer moving and handling of people you will become a confident practitioner, motivated to pass on the skills and knowledge you will gain on this fantastic, up to date and interactive 3 day programme.
Become an instructor and keep your employees, colleagues and patients safe and free from injury.

The level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is an accredited 1 day programme for anyone who has manual handling as part of their role
- Accredited with Qualsafe Awards
- Assessment is through Practical and Multiple Choice assessments
- Costs for Up to 12 people per session delivered at your workplace- £399

Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling 1/2 day
The Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling is a 3 hour ( half day) theory only programme to support anyone working with manual handling as part of their role.

Challenges in the Moving and Handling sector
You may find that some moving and handling training is too general and does not reflect the issues that your staff face on a daily basis in their practice. We can provide full day training sessions to support your staff to better meet the individual needs of the people who use your service.
We offer courses in the following :
- Single handed care
- Bariatric care
- End of life care
- Dementia care
The training is provided at Millercare Service Centre to ensure access to specific equipment and accessories. However if you are close to a Millercare Branch we may be able to provide the training there in order to reduce the travel time for your staff.
Costs for a full day training £450 for up to 10 people – all refreshments and a sandwich lunch provided
